Both blondes & brunettes have the same amount of fun. BUT blondes need to be more careful with their hair. WHY? The colouring process is completely different and sometimes dangerous! This client had a wonderful time when she had her extensions & bright blonde with another salon. HOWEVER… over time it ruined her hair. (I wish I had the photos of that but equally I’m not here to shame). It is all about HAIRCARE!!! Sometimes extensions don’t suit certain hair types. Sometimes you need to do more to look after your hair when you change your situation. Extensions require a lot more care & patience. I will always harp on about hair care to my clients as the last thing I want you to do is have a colour or style that you can’t manage or keep up. Thankfully with great products like @innoluxeuk & regular cuts, I got my clients hair healthier again. Because we are getting naturally lighter 👀, I mentioned going lighter & more multi-tonal as an idea to help blend those roots & soften on the tone. Imagine lifting a clients hair to blonde… and discovering blue tones?!?!👨‍🎤

That can be a situation when lifting out henna, especially INDIGO HENNA.  Thankfully, that didn’t catch me off guard.. and here’s why:
This client has been using henna to colour her hair for umpteen years. As many of you know, I never shy away from a challenge! 💪🏻

Before starting, I carried out a strand test to ensure there were no metallic salts present. Along with a skin test.. (For those unfamiliar, metallic salts and bleach do not mix — unless you want your hair to end up in a bag. Truly, it can cause serious damage very quickly.
After confirming everything was safe, patch test done, strand test passed. WE WENT AHEAD! 
Our first lightening session went smoothly, with no surprises. However, during the second visit, we encountered some blue & grey tones whilst lifting.

Thankfully, it was nothing a bit of copper and gold couldn’t correct. The result? A beautifully dimensional finish, rich in warmth and depth. 🍊🍋

Our first session was made up of 2 different styles of highlights which gives a softer & more natural look. We had an incredible result on our first lift whilst keeping the integrity with Innoluxe. This is a brilliant example of that, my client has a beautiful natural colour that only needs some enhancement to make it POP! Lacklustre ➡️ LAVISH✨  Pretty colour to begin with.. However it needed breaking up and adding depth back in. My client wanted a LUXE, RICH colour that didn’t exude too much “orange” 🍊🍊. Because of the previous banding, I pulled the root colour down a touch & then pulled pieces through to create more dimension when it fades (giving longer lasting look). Then on the rest of the hair I used a tone to cool down those ends & give a more WALNUT tone. 🥜🌰Here is the result, isn’t she GORGE!! 🤎🤎

This gorgeous client came back to me after a little (cough, cough) detour. ( no judgment ) ❗️REAL TALK❗️, great hair isn’t cheap, and cheap hair isn’t great. What it is, though, is worth every single penny. 💸

After a not-so-great experience elsewhere, she slid back into my chair, and guess what? We got her hair journey back on track! 🚂💨

Was it hours of work? Yup. Did it take a bit of £££? You bet. But seeing that I-trust-you-completely look on her face and the pure joy when she saw her fresh colour? PRICELESS.

When she says, “Do what you think is best,” she knows she’ll be leaving my chair feeling like an absolute queen. 👑✨
